Description

The Cross is a house dating from the mid-18th century, constructed of rendered cob and chalkstone with a thatched roof. It has two storeys and three bays. The entrance is located between the second and third bays, behind the main stack, featuring a boarded door with a 20th-century propped roof. The windows are deeply set and have timber frames with panes. There is a stack on the right gable and a lean-to with a slated roof on the south gable. Inside, the living room on the left has a chamfered spine beam, and there is a staircase against the rear wall. An open fireplace is present in the service room on the right.
