Description

Jackdaw Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of flint, with the upper level made of flint and chalk, and features a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic, comprising a main living room and an inner room that is now used as a kitchen. There is an added half bay at the rear that provides a 20th-century entrance. The cottage has paned timber windows and a roof that is half hipped over the inner room. Inside, there is a chamfered spine beam with ogee stops and a chamfered fire lintel above an open fireplace, which includes an oven. The roof is supported by a single purlin.
