Description

The Village Cross in Woodford is a historic structure that dates back to the medieval period, with some 20th-century alterations. It is made of limestone and features a plinth consisting of three steps made from large stone blocks. The base is square with a chamfered top edge, leading to a square shaft that tapers to an octagonal section. The cross head at the top is from the 20th century. The plinth, base, and shaft are likely of medieval origin but have been reworked in the 19th and 20th centuries.
