Description
The village cross, located about 5 metres south-east of The George, features a medieval base and a 20th-century top. It is constructed from Ham stone, with some repairs made using local lias stone. The cross has a two-step base leading to an almost cuboid block that is approximately 700mm high, with a broached base and top. The 20th-century shaft tapers from about 300mm square at the bottom to about 150mm square at the top, where it culminates in a plain Latin cross.
