Description
The Vining Chest Tomb, located in the churchyard 4 metres southeast of the porch of the Church of St Peter and St Paul, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of Ham stone and features a moulded base with one fielded panel on each face. The tomb has coffer panelled pilasters on its flanks and a moulded hipped top. It commemorates John Vining, who died in 1767, along with others, although most of the inscriptions have been lost.
