Description
Middle Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local stone coursed rubble and features a double Roman clay tile roof with simple eaves. The building has one ashlar and one rubble stone chimney stack. It stands two storeys tall and consists of four bays, with the fourth bay being a later extension. The windows are three-light horizontal bar casements set under timber lintels, except for the lower bay one, which has a wide six-pane sash window. Bay two features a six-flush panel door set in a heavy frame with glazed toplights, topped by a double curved metal hood supported by carved wood brackets. There is an outshut and a later extension at the rear. The interior has not been seen. The farmhouse is situated in an important location on the village green.
