Description

Milden Cottage is a cottage that possibly dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of local coursed stone rubble and features a thatched roof with plain eaves and brick end chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays. It includes two-light horizontal bar casement windows set under timber lintels, with no window in the upper bay of the second storey. A plain boarded door is located between the bays and is flanked by two plain stone buttresses that reach the height of the roof. The interior has not been seen but is apparently little altered. Milden Cottage forms a good group with the nearby Old Forge.
