Cottage. Possibly late C18. Local coursed stone rubble; thatched roof with plain eaves; brick end chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays. 2-light horizontal bar casement windows under timber lintols, with no window to upper bay 2; plain boarded door between bays, flanked by two stone plain buttress to roof height. interior not seen, Apparently little altered; forms good group with the Old Forge (qv).
