Description

The Cox Chest Tomb, located in the churchyard 9 metres northeast of the north porch of the Church of Saint Michael, is a late 18th-century chest tomb made of ham stone. It features a moulded plinth and fielded panels on the sides, along with a single fielded panel that has coffered pilasters on the flanks. The tomb is topped with a heavily moulded hipped top. It commemorates John Cox senior, who died in 1784.
