Description
The Bush monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 4 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St David. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of Doulting stone with Keinton stone slabs. The tomb features a moulded plinth and semi-circular arched panels, with one panel at each end and two on each side. Fluted end pilasters decorate the flanks, and there is incised decoration present. The top of the tomb is moulded and hipped. One panel is missing on the south side, and another has decayed. This monument commemorates John Bush, who died in 1704, along with others.
