Description
This is a 17th-century chest tomb located 10 metres south-southeast of the south porch of the Church of Saint Mary in Hardington Mandeville. It is made of Ham stone and has a rectangular plan. The base is sunken, and the sides and flanks are plain, featuring scribed borders on the flank panels. The heavy flat top has cyma recta moulding. The inscriptions are mostly worn away, but one flank may refer to Mary Haggett, with a possible date of death in 1743.
