Description
This chest tomb, dating from the 17th century, is located 8 meters south-southeast of the south porch of the Church of Saint Mary in Hardington Mandeville. It is made of Ham stone and has a rectangular plan. The base of the tomb is sunken, and while the ends and flanks are plain, there is a scribed border on the flank panels. The heavy flat top features cyma recta coving. Unfortunately, any inscriptions that may have been present are now completely lost.
