Description
The Haggett Chest Tomb, located 4 metres southeast of the south porch of the Church of Saint Mary, is a 17th-century chest tomb made of Ham stone with a rectangular plan. The base is sunken with plain sides, and it features a heavy flat top that has cyma recta coving. There is an incised border on the north flank, although the inscription has been lost. The south side of the tomb commemorates John Haggett, who died in 1773.
