GV II

House, now shop. Mid C18. Painted render facade, coursed limestone rubble returns; steep-pitched, tarred slate roof with stepped stone copings and brick stacks to gable ends. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; originally symmetrical 3-window range, now with a C20 shop inserted to the left. 2 steps up to a late C19, four-panel door with overlight, set in a painted stone doorcase with pediment and consoles; probably the original door was 8-panels and with no overlight. A plat-band runs at pediment-level. To the right is a tripartite window with late C19 horned 2/2-pane sashes, with a similar one above; the window to the first-floor left has a C20 plastic replacement. Above the door is a Venetian window with a late C19 horned 2/2-pane sash. The windows on the second-floor have c1960 metal frames in altered openings. The rusticated quoins have dentilled and moulded cornices below the moulded kneelers. There is a small attic window to left-of-centre, on the left return. INTERIOR not inspected.
