Description

No. 13 East Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features a facade made of Ham Hill stone ashlar, with stepped stone copings, a slate roof, and a brick stack on the right gable end. The house has a double-depth plan and is two storeys high, with a symmetrical three-window range. There are steps leading up to a 6-panel door, which has been altered and blocked. The door is framed by pilasters of a Tuscan-style doorcase that rest on a plinth at door-level. On both floors, there are tripartite windows to the sides, each with a central 6/6-pane sash in forward frames, and an 8/8-pane sash window located above the door. A smooth ashlar band runs below the moulded cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
