Description

Vole House is a farmhouse, reputedly built in 1842. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a slate roof with four off-ridge stacks that have stone caps. The building is symmetrical, standing two storeys high and comprising three bays. It has 12-pane sash windows with stepped voussoirs. The central door opening contains a four-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed, and is topped by a transom light with stained glass. A stone portico with a moulded cornice is supported by two octagonal columns, with two similar half columns attached to the wall.
