Description
The Elms is an 18th-century house featuring a colourwashed exterior made of local brick in Flemish bond. The building has coped verges and a pantile roof, along with three brick stacks. It has an irregular frontage with two storeys and four bays, which include 2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars, brick voussoirs, and prominent keystones. The door opening is located in the third bay from the left, featuring a six-panelled door with the top two panels glazed. To the left, there is a lower-height addition with a slate roof, coped verge, and a brick stack, which includes a single bay with 3-light casements and a door opening with a plank door that has a small glazed light. The property is enclosed by a brick forecourt wall on each side, complemented by wrought and cast iron railings, with paired central gates that match the style of the railings.
