Description
The plinth, railings, and associated gates on the north and west sides of the churchyard of the Church of St Mark date from 1848, as indicated by a plaque at the west gateway. The squared rubble plinth extends approximately 70 metres along the north edge of the churchyard and is topped with cast and wrought-iron railings featuring spear caps. The north-western corner is rounded to Little Moor Road and continues approximately 25 metres along the west edge of the churchyard in a similar style. There are paired main entrance gates on the west side that match this style, along with a smaller gate on the north side and a 20th-century lamp overthrow.
