Description

Mount Pleasant is a cottage dated 1797, although the structure likely dates back to the 17th century. It is built from colourwashed coursed and squared rubble with a pantile roof, featuring coped brick verges and end brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has two 2-light casements with horizontal glazing bars on the ground floor, along with a similar casement in the center of the first floor. There is a central door opening with a 6-panelled door, where the top two panels are glazed. Above the door is a simple corrugated-iron pent, and there is a single broad slab step leading up to it. On either side of the cottage, there are single-storey lean-tos with pantile roofs, one of which has a pair of broad plank doors.
