Description
The Sycamores is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed with Flemish bond brickwork and featuring a double Roman tile roof with end brick stacks. The building is symmetrical, standing two storeys high with three bays. It has 16-pane sash windows with brick voussoirs and a central door opening that contains a six-panelled door, where the top four panels are glazed. A glazed gabled wooden porch with a slate roof, along with decorative bargeboard and a finial, enhance the entrance.
To the right of the house is a lower brick outshut with a slate roof and a coped verge. There is a section of high garden walling set back to the left of the frontage, which includes a pointed arch door opening with a plank door. The forecourt is enclosed by brick walls with brick capping on either side, the right side featuring a gateway with a decorative wrought-iron gate. Each wall ends in a pier with a stone cap at the roadside, and there is an additional wooden gate at the roadside.
