Description
Brook Cottage is a detached cottage, likely dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of local lias and Cary stone, cut and squared with banding, and has Doulting stone dressings. The roof is double Roman clay tile between coped gables, with brick end chimney stacks. The cottage is two storeys high with attics, and has three bays. It features timber casement windows with horizontal bars, set under timber lintols; those on the ground floor and north gable are under square labels. A boarded door, with two small glazed panels, is set in a heavy frame and also has a label. A lower, two-storey extension with a hipped roof adjoins the south gable. The interior has not been inspected.
