Description

Ridgeway Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 18th century, incorporating fabric from the early 17th century. The house is constructed of roughly cut and squared local stone with a thatched roof between coped gables. It features brick end and intermediate chimney stacks. The east-facing elevation has four bays, with the fourth bay being a later addition. It has three-light horizontal-bar casement windows; some have iron-framed opening lights and no leading, while the lower windows have timber lintels. A late 20th-century stone and tiled porch with a boarded door is situated in bay two. A single-storey extension with a clay double Roman tile roof adjoins the north gable. An outshut is located to the rear, and a blocked attic window is present in the south gable. The interior was not inspected.
