Description
Carpenters is a detached cottage dating from the 18th century, constructed from Cary stone rubble with a thatched roof featuring a coped west gable and a plain east gable. The building is set at right angles to the road and consists of two storeys with an attic, comprising four bays, with the fourth bay being a later addition. The cottage has casement windows; on the upper floor, there are two-light beaded frames with rectangular leaded lights, while the lower floor features two-light horizontal bar casements from various periods. In the lower bay two, there is a 20th-century fully glazed door with a pitched roof timber and tile hood. Additionally, there is a single-storey extension against the east gable, which has a plain clay tile roof. The interior has not been seen.
