Description
No. 14 Cutty Lane is a detached cottage dated 1732, constructed from roughly coursed lias stone rubble with a thatched roof that is hipped at the north end and has a plain gable at the south. The building features brick end chimney stacks and is a single-storey structure with an attic, consisting of three bays. The windows are horizontal-bar casements from various periods; bay 1 has a 2-light window below and a blank space above, bay 2 has a 3-light window below and a 4-light window above, and bay 3 has a 3-light window above. The lower windows have timber lintels, while the upper windows are set into the thatch. There is a 20th-century part-glazed door located in a deep recess to the right of bay 2. The south gable displays a large projecting chimney breast with offsets. A datestone is positioned above the entrance door. The interior has not been seen.
