Description
Home Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 19th century, with early 20th-century extensions. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a hipped plain clay tile roof with a brick chimney stack. The building has a double roof plan and is oriented at right angles to the road. It stands two storeys high with a three-bay south elevation. The south facade includes sash windows with 12 panes set in plain openings, which have slightly segmental-arched gauged heads and stone cills. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door located in a semi-circular arched recess, accompanied by a radial glazed fanlight and flanked by reeded pilasters. This entrance is protected by a 19th-century wire lattice porch topped with a conical sheet metal roof. The early 20th-century extensions on the north side are made of Cary stone and brick. The interior has not been seen.
