Description

The Oknell monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard at the angle of the south aisle and chancel of the Church of St. Michael. It dates from the early 17th century and is made of Doulting stone. The base is buried, and the tomb features plain flanks and ends, with a frieze decorated with leaf motifs and moulded coving. It has a steep hipped top and commemorates Rowland Oknell, who died in 1629.
