Description
No. 41 on North Street is a house and shop built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from Ham stone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The upper bays and the first lower bay have sash windows with 16 panes in plain openings. The second lower bay contains a 4-panel house door set in a recess beneath a rectangular fanlight. The third bay features a later 19th-century shop window with mullions and thin transoms, consisting of two lights flanking a central half-glazed door under a fanlight, all topped with a slim fascia supported by corbel brackets at each end. The interior has not been seen. Approximately 2 meters to the west, there are boundary railings made of simple arrowhead rails set on a low stone wall, with no gates. A lean-to garage on the south gable, dating from the mid-20th century, is not of special interest.
