Description
Sharman Butchers Shop, located between Nos 25 and 27 on North Street, is a shop that likely served as a former coach house for No 27. It dates from the 18th century and is constructed from ham stone rubble with an ashlar front. The building features clay pantiles and has stepped coped gables. It is a single storey with an attic and is positioned at right angles to the road. The west gable has a later 20th-century shop front, with evidence of a blocked loft door above it. The north side includes boarded doors and plain casements. The interior has not been seen. This building is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
