Description
No. 18 on Main Street is a house and shop built in the mid-18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. The building has dentillated eaves, coped gables, and two gable stacks along with a single ridge stack. It is two storeys high and has four bays, forming an L-plan. The windows are 19th-century Yorkshire sashes and casements, and the ground floor openings have segmental heads. The north front includes a large opening on the left for a shop door and a shuttered shop window, while to the right, there is a door flanked by single sashes. Above, there are four sashes of varying sizes. The west gable has a 20th-century casement, and there is a small single-storey lean-to rear wing.
