Description

Brookside House is a late 17th-century house, extended and raised in the late 18th century. It is constructed of timber framing with brick nogging, partly covered with roughcast, and has a pantile roof. A rubble plinth runs along the base. The building has two ridge stacks and one gable stack.

The north side of the house features a lean-to single-storey porch to the left and a timber box-framed section with three posts and a wall plate to the right. The porch contains a door, while to the right of the porch is a small casement window. Another door is flanked by single casements. The south side has a timber-framed bay to the left, a lean-to single-storey addition with a pantile roof and a small casement, and three casement windows to its right. Further to the right is a sash window and a casement. Above, the upper floor has a sash window flanked by single casements, and a single sash window to the right.

The east gable has a sash window on each floor, with a 20th-century door to the right.
