Description

This is a barn with a cider press located at Middle Farm, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble and features a double Roman tile roof. There are plank door openings on each side, with a single window opening next to each door; the window to the north is unglazed, while the one to the south is glazed with corrugated plastic. Inside, there is a large wooden cider press, which includes a frame with a knurled screw and pressing bar, slots for a windlass, and is attached by a wooden framework to the roof trusses.
