Description

The Old Farmhouse, now a house, likely dates to the 17th century, although its core may be even earlier. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with a double Roman tile roof, featuring coped verges and brick ridge stacks. The house is single-storey with an attic. The front facade has two 3-light stone mullioned windows with ovolo moulding, each with a label. A single 3-light ovolo moulded window is set within a front-facing gable, which is topped with kneelers and coping. Iron stanchions and iron casements are present. A doorway is located to the left, leading into a lean-to addition with a 20th-century plank door and glazed light. Inside, there is a broad open fireplace with a wooden bressumer shaped like a four-centred arch.
