Description

Fernleigh Farmhouse, along with its gate piers and gate, is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from coursed and squared rubble with a tiled roof featuring coped verges and end brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical front with three storeys and three bays, showcasing 12 and 16-pane flush mounted sash windows. The openings are keyed, except for the second floor. A large window with a semi-circular head is located at the center of the first floor. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped by a slab hood supported on cut stone brackets. To the left of the front, there are a pair of tall dressed stone gate piers positioned at right angles, leading to a cast and wrought-iron gate adorned with cresting.
