Description

Priest’s House is a house dating from the 17th century, with a possible earlier core. It's constructed of coursed and squared rubble with a double Roman tile roof, the ridge running at a right angle to the front of the building. The eaves are uneven in height. The house is of single storey and attic layout. A single bay features a three-light hollow moulded stone mullioned window on the first floor, incorporating iron stanchions, leaded lights and a stopped label, as well as a weathered sill. The ground floor has a half-glazed French window with a cement surround. A door opening is located on the right-hand side, with a ribbed and studded door and a reconstituted stone hood supported by brackets. Internally, there's evidence of a former timber-framed wing, along with chamfered ceiling beams with run-out stops.
