Description
Mill House is a house and former watermill dating from the 18th century and later. It is built from local lias stone with a cut and squared Welsh slate roof featuring overhanging gables and brick end chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, with 16-pane sash windows in plain openings topped by large stone lintels. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with a plain fanlight, set into a semi-circular arched recess.
Attached to the east gable is a lower link wing, leading to a two-storey, two-bay structure that represents the former mill. This section has been converted into a house and now features a corrugated asbestos cement sheet monopitch roof. It includes a 20th-century door to the lower bay and French doors with a wrought iron balcony above. There are casement windows in the second bay, and to the right, there is a segmental arched recess for the waterwheel, with the axle and sluice still in position. The interior has not been seen.
