Description

Grange Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse situated in Lydford-on-Fosse. It is constructed of coursed and squared lias stone with a double-Roman tile roof, featuring coped verges and three 20th-century brick ridge stacks. The farmhouse's original layout comprised three units and a cross passage. It is two storeys high and has four bays. The windows are predominantly 3-light wooden-mullioned, with moulded details under wooden lintols. The right bay on the ground floor has a renewed 3-light casement window, and the second bay from the left has a 3-light stone-mullioned window with a stopped label. A broad, 19th-century five-panelled door with a glazed top panel is located in the third bay from the left. The interior retains remnants of sole panelling around the windows in the left ground floor room. A single-storey wing to the right of the front elevation is not part of the listing.
