Description
5 and 9 Manor Road are two houses built around 1840. They feature painted render with large voussoirs above flat-arched openings. The slate roof has brick stacks located at the left gable end and near the center of the ridge. The buildings have an L-shaped plan and rise two storeys with a two-window range. The left block includes 8/8-pane sash windows on the first floor, half-glazed double doors on the ground floor that are now blocked, and a wide carriage entrance to the right. To the right of this block is a full-height wall that has a 6-raised-and-fielded panelled door on the left and a painted chamfered long/short quoin on the right, which angles forward to connect with No. 11. The entrances are accessed through the archway. The interiors have not been inspected.
