Description
This is a probable 17th-century house, altered in the early 19th century, located below street level in Brook Street, Alcombe, Minehead. The house is constructed with painted render over rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and a brick stack to the left gable end. It follows a double-depth plan and presents a two-window range over two storeys. The windows are mid-19th century sash windows with horns and 3/3 panes, with a smaller central window on the ground floor. An outhouse with a pantiled roof extends to the left, and contains a taller door at its far left corner, providing access to the main house. The interior has not been inspected.
