Description

Wyebourne House is a 17th-century house that was remodelled in the 19th century, located on Quay Street in Minehead. The exterior is painted roughcast over a rubble stone base, with a 19th-century crested slate roof. The roof has exposed rafter ends and a tall rendered brick stack to the left gable. The house is on a three-unit plan, with the main entrance situated to the left of the central room. It is two storeys high, with a four-window front. The windows are a mix of 19th and 20th-century casement windows with 2,3, and 4 lights. The entrance door is flanked by a four-light window, likely formerly mullioned, to the left and a two-light window to the right. Above the door are 20th-century windows, and the far-right side of the house features 19th-century four-light windows on both floors. A slightly curved projection to the rear of the left return suggests a staircase was originally located to the right of the fire. The interior has not been inspected.
