Description
Manor Cottage is a house that dates from the 16th or 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior is rendered and whitewashed, topped with a thatched roof that has undulating eaves. It features two rendered stacks that are capped with brick. The building is single storey with an attic and has a layout of one bay on the left that is blank, with the eaves sweeping down to the first floor level, and two bays on the right that are set back. The right bays contain 2 and 3-light casements with leaded lights, including one on the ground floor that is transomed, with each upper light featuring a 4-centred arch head. There are two door openings; the left door is ribbed and studded, with ornamental hinges and is set in a chamfered 4-centred head architrave. Adjacent to this door is a lancet window in a stone surround. The second door opening is located at the extreme right and also features a ribbed door with a 4-centred head architrave.
