Description
Cuffs Orchard is a house dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The exterior is rendered and colourwashed, featuring a thatched roof and brick stacks. The building has a single storey and an attic, comprising four bays. The ground floor has 19th and 20th-century casement windows, which are either two or three-light, with cambered heads and brick lintels. There is a door opening located between the third and fourth bays, which has a plank door and a rustic porch topped with a thatched bonnet hood. Inside, the house includes a timber-framed partition and part of the timbered rear wall, which is protected by a 19th-century outshut. The ceiling beams are chamfered and stopped, and there are two fireplaces that feature broad wooden bressumers.
