Description
Monks Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with some 19th-century alterations. It features modern roughcast on the exterior, with thatched and double-Roman tiled roofs and three brick ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical layout with two bays on each side. On the right side, there are two and three-light casements, with those on the first floor sheltered by thatched bonnet hoods. The left side has a 20th-century two-light casement on the ground floor and two three-light casements on the first floor, which is weather-boarded. There are two door openings: on the left, a plank door with a half-glazed 20th-century porch, and on the right, a half-glazed door also with a thatched bonnet hood.
