Description

The Crown Inn is an inn dating from the early 19th century. It has a roughcast and colourwashed exterior with a hipped slate roof and brick stacks. The building is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay entrance front. It features 16-pane sash windows, with the central window on the first floor having a semi-circular head and radiating glazing bars. The central door is set within a reeded surround that includes bull's-eyes and a fanlight, highlighted by an emphasized key. The right side of the building has a similar design treatment, and there is a sign on a decorative wrought-iron bracket, along with an early 20th-century metal and glass pendant lamp.
