Description
The Brick House is a late 18th-century house that now serves as both a residence and a post office. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features coped verges and a slate roof with end brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical front with three storeys and three bays. The ground and first floors have 16-pane sash windows, while the second floor has 12-pane sash windows with brick voussoirs. The central door opening contains a six-panelled door framed by a moulded stone doorcase topped with a triangular pediment supported by brackets. There is a brick forecourt wall with freestone capping and an iron gate. The interior retains original fittings, including doors and window shutters.
