Description
This is a barn complex located about 20 metres southeast of Deacons, likely dating from the 18th century. The structure is built from local stone that is squared and coursed, with red brick ventilation screens and pantiled roofs, including a catslide roof over an outshot on the west front. The layout is L-shaped, featuring a five-bay butch barn oriented roughly east-west, with a lower barn attached that runs north-south. The outshot is located under the catslide roof, and there is a lean-to addition on the west front.
The west front faces Deacons and includes a long sweep of the catslide roof over the outshot on the left. To the right, there are three bays of stone piers filled with red brick ventilation screens, along with a lean-to addition below. The right gable end features a Dutch barn that is buttressed and has a weatherboarded gable end. The right return consists of five bays with square columns, and two bays on the left are partly infilled and buttressed.
