Description
Edgeborough Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with a south front added around 1850. The building is roughcast over rubble, featuring an ashlar plinth on the south front, a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves, and brick stacks rising on the returns. The original wing on the east front has a plain tile roof. The layout consists of three cells and a cross passage running north-south, with a two-cell addition on the south front.
The south front is two storeys high and has two bays. The first floor has 9-pane sash windows, while the ground floor features 12-pane tripartite sash windows set in segmental-headed recesses. The entrance is located on the right return of the two to four bays, with the left end bay having blind openings and the second bay featuring a 9-pane sash window above a six-panelled door. Doric columns support an entablature, and the right side has a mix of two and three-light casements, along with one 9-pane sash window. The entrance is situated between the first and second bays on the right. The interior, partially visible, includes chamfered beams with scroll stops in the kitchen.
