Description
Yarford Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building is rendered, likely over cob, with a right return of random rubble. It has a shallow pitch asbestos slate roof with overhanging eaves. There is a brick stack at the left gable end and stone stacks at the right gable end and to the right of the cross passage. The farmhouse has a plan consisting of three cells and a cross passage, and it is two storeys high with four bays. The 19th-century windows are many-paned, two-light casements. The entrance is located in the second bay on the left and features a cambered head to the doorframe, with a 17th-century studded plank door that has an inserted light. The interior has not been sighted but is believed to contain features of interest.
