BUCKLEBURY HATCH LANE KIFF GREEN Copyhold Farm Barn at Copyhold Farm on south east side of farmyard.

(Formerly listed as Barn at Copyhold Farm on south east side of farmyard, HATCH LANE)

GV II Barn, probably late C16 with C18 weatherboarding and alterations; further alterations C19 and C20. Timber frame with wattle and daub infill replaced by weatherboard cladding on brick plinth. Plain tile roof. Three bays with added central midstrays.

Yard elevation: gabled midstray with board double door on either side roof comes down as catslide on left over two-bay open-fronted shelter, on right over C19 brick outshut.

Rear: midstray has hipped roof: corrugated iron lean to on left not of special interest.

Interior: jowelled wall posts with short straight braces to wall plates and tie-beams; collared queen-post roof trusses; clasped purlins; old rafters; square-section ridge-piece. Holes in soffits of wall-framing timbers indicate positions of former staves from wattle and daub infill.
