Description

This building is a barn located on the west side of a small lane beside number 747 on New Hey Road. It dates from the 18th century or early 19th century and is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof, featuring a catslide on the east side. The barn has coped gables supported by cut kneelers. Originally part of a longhouse-type farmhouse, it includes two ranges of sash windows and a door with four moulded panels at the north end. In the center, there are segment-headed barn doors, and there is a lean-to extension on the east side at the south end.
