Description
Lee Farmhouse and attached barn is a late 17th-century building that was originally a single-storey house, which was raised to two storeys in the mid-18th century, likely when the barn was constructed. The structure is made of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof with a coped gable.
The front of the two-storey house has four bays. The first bay includes large quoins, a three-light flat facet mullioned window with a matching window above, and a doorway with monolithic jambs. The second bay features a five-light mullioned window with a similar window above. The third bay has steps leading up to a first-floor door at the division between the two parts of the building, along with two-light windows on both floors, although the mullions have been removed. The fourth bay contains a four-light window with two removed mullions and late 18th-century three-light mullioned windows above.
The barn is characterized by a segmental-headed arch with composite jambs and gutter brackets.
