EAST BRENT CP OLD BRISTOL ROAD (North side) War memorial at the junction of Old Bristol Road and Bridgwater Road

War Memorial. Dated 1921, repaired 1983. By Emery of Burnham-on-Sea, on plinth. Dressed stone. Plain plinth, with an angle-buttress at each corner, moulded cornice around its top. Octagonal sockets, a life size figure set at each corner in military dress, a soldier, a sailor, an airman, and a marine. Tapering chamfered shaft with a cruciform finial. Plinth inscribed with the names of The Fallen. An unusual and elaborate memorial.
